3 Accomplishments
I made a preliminary map!! It took a long time to gather data, but was worth it. It is linked in my previous post.
I wrote a section of my results. It was tedious, but it’s done.
I updated my methodology to include how I made my map—I believe this completes the section.
3 Things Preventing My Best Work
The short week skewed my time management. I still got work done, but it was difficult.
The results of my map are not what I expected—there is no research along the counties by the Mississippi River. I’m meeting with one of the geology professors next week to attempt to explain it.
I realized that the presentation is in a few short weeks, and the stress of the schedule makes it difficult to motivate myself to do specific tasks.
3 Things I Learned This Week
I learned how to upload my map to my website. It is attached in my most recent blog post.
I learned more about the availability of resources regarding presentations. This has been one of the most beneficial library lectures.
I learned more about graduate school and the application process, which will be helpful as I go through the applications myself.
Next Action Step:
I would like to continue my results section and hopefully finish a preliminary draft of it. If I’m able to get ahead, I aim to work on my conclusion.
